Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Playing in the water

When I saw the Brown-throated Sunbird landed on the forked trunk, I had absolutely no idea it was for a bath!  It was evening, so didn't expect a bird to take to the water at this time.

It actually flew off before it frolic in the water and was immediately replaced by the female one.

Looked like the birds were taking turns because the male flew in again after the female had left, right into the water hole.

First splash!

And another, this time more vigorous, more enjoyable perhaps!
