Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Juvy Barbet's share

And then it was the juvy Lineated Barbet's turn at the MacArthur palm.  It was as usual behaving warily; didn't manage to catch from where it flew in, normally it's either out of its hole or from somewhere in response to the adult's call.
This is certainly one bird that I'm never tired of shooting, truly adorable.

So it was my luck when it came down for the fruits!
