Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Migrant Drongo

I saw it in Bukit Kiara and so much later now in the taman.  The Crow-billed Drongo could be a local or resident but also migrant.  In this case I believe this one could be considered an uncommon migrant or winter visitor as it's only sighted here in this migratory period.  This one could have arrived from Northern-eastern India or Southern China, or perhaps Indochina, and probably would be flying back soon that it's spring now there.
When I spotted it the unmistakable forked-tail got me all excited.

Migrant 20/2018

Fortunately it stayed long enough for some decent images despite the distance but unfortunately its back was the only view it offered.  Even then one could see that it could be considered a beautiful bird with its glossy metallic colours reflected off its back.
