Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Ode to the common kf

It's never enough when it's the Common Kingfisher that only visits once a year.  And this is especially so because one never knows when one can encounter it, particularly in the taman, more often heard than seen.  And to get it with food in mouth is even more challenging.

And a vigorous shake out of water.
