Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

After a night's rain

Waterbirds are so sensitive that I have to tread gently trying to get close to them, even so, all the shots have to be from afar in order to get them all in one frame.
I believe these shown here could be almost the entire population of the Herons and Egrets in the taman, which is not bad at all for a small taman like TRK.  These birds are out to bask in the rising sun after a long night of rain.
Seen first are the adult Little Heron and its 2 Juveniles, one at each end of the tree.

Then I saw a Little Egret fly in and perches together with the Little Herons, but in no time, the Herons were chased off when two other Egrets flew in.

So now we have a lovely picture of three Little Egrets.

Close-up shots show how beautiful these white birds are.
