Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Of tree and tree

I find this part of the taman to be most intriguing because of branches that spread liberally, and branches that seem to grow roots!  And, roots that run above and below the ground.  These trees are as old as the taman.

In another part of the taman, the roots of a cherry tree run really truly long.  How these remind us about the expanse of life, freeing of breath and imagination!
