Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Drongos at play

It was a rare sight watching this Greater Racket-tailed Drongo flying high and low all over the area, and it even went down to the ground which is not a normal feature.  This one looks like it's still growing one of its streamers.
And then another one flew in, and then it was a chase-and-flight cycle for these two.

This was the one that flew in and started the chase.  It seems to have lost one of its long streamers and both its twisted pendants.

In comparison, this one that was flying around earlier, has shorter streamers, which suggests that it could be a juvenile.
