Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

It's Woodypecker now!

One day it's the male, the next is the female, and it's like meeting an old friend when the Common Flameback Woodpecker flew in and started to forage in front of you, with nary a thought at your presence.
Woodypecker,
affectionately named,
Picked at my heart
as you picked at the wood,
