Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Juvy Pigeon to collection

I am glad to be able to add these images of a Juvenile Pink-necked Green Pigeon to my collection of this species.  The adult Pink-necked Green Pigeons are frequently found in the taman, going for the fruit trees, and their presence is easily felt as the sound of their wings flapping is unmistakable.
