Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Sub-adult Munia

Always good to get any bird at different stages of their development, and this is a sub-adult Scaly-breasted Munia, still with moulting feathers.




Can't get enough of the bird - one knows that it will soon turn full grown and gorgeous.







Soon it will become an adult like the following.
