Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Is it or is it not ABF?

It looks like there are two variations to the Asian Brown Flycatcher seen here.
I first saw this common one, as expected arriving here on time.

Then this one had me guessing what it was, with a longer tail and what looked like rounder eyes and whiter eye ring.

I just had to go on getting more images to ensure that it's indeed the ABF despite its longer tail.  Furthermore this one seemed to keep to the riverside of the taman compared to the other one that has stayed in the taman interior.
On consultation with a couple of senior birders, I can take it that it's indeed the ABF, differences could be due to, perhaps, country origin or even development stages or at best (?) hybrid.
