Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

The other Wagtail at last

I had thought that I had missed the arrival of the Forest Wagtail as it was nowhere to be seen, going by the year before, it should have arrived.  Thus it was simply thrilling when this fella suddenly flew into sight as I was on the hunt again for winged migrants to the taman.

It's simply challenging as usual to shoot this bird because of its incessant movements, therefore the only way to keep up is to keep on following it, and hoping that it would not sense my presence.

The only time this one paused was to scan the surrounding in response to repeated calls from a white-throated kingfisher, even then, it couldn't stop wagging its tail.  And then it was off again.
