Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Cross-breed jungle fowl

I came across this handsome pair of Red Jungle Fowls, although didn't have look of pure breed, in the vicinity of the taman.  Furthermore, the pair also did not show the wariness that wild ones would in human presence.  Nevertheless, they have the traits of their wild cousins, the white ear patch and the grey legs which caught my attention in the first place.
