Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Gorgeous Cuckoo

This is one of my favourite birds in the taman, although an occasional visitor.  The Banded Bay Cuckoo stands out for its gorgeous upper part and underpart, simply beautiful plumage.  This one was happily going after moths and afforded me plenty of time to admire and capture its images.  However, if it's the same one as before, it always seemed to have a displaced feather - before that it was its neck, this time, a side feather.
