The firmiana malayana or mata lembu, remains here in testimony to man's care-less-ness - its tree had since been felled. Let not the birds leave too.

Encounter of the Kingfisher

I guess no one likes to be watched, least of all starred at.  The White-throated Kingfisher must have sensed this and it suddenly turned its eyes at me, and then turned away again.




Certainly not a pleasant look - but it is interesting to note that it bears a hole in its bill!  Must be all the diving and even nesting efforts!


And then it turned away just as quickly.
