Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

When the tough gets going ....

I couldn't walk past this water lily leaves without pausing to admire the underside, leaves which I think turned this way because of strong gusts of wind.
And the thought that came to mind was that things have been getting tough for taman lovers, having a present uphill task fighting to retain this taman. Unfortunately, there are yet those who seemed to find it extremely difficult to understand why people want to safeguard open green spaces, why open green spaces mean quality of life, why caring for whether creatures or man means caring for ourselves.
Nevertheless, for sure, when the tough gets going, the more remarkable the oppressed will turn out, like these remarkable leaves which actually show gorgeous and hardy veins when upended!
