Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Subject, the Cuckoo

The Square-tailed Drongo-cuckoo has become pretty confiding that it has become a favourite subject to test my photography skill.  It's truly not an easy bird to photograph simply because of its colour, as its images from most angles are dark or even totally black.  It is a gorgeous looking bird when its feathers catch the sunlight, and appear in folds.
