One of the best ways to birdwatch is after a wet night, or day. Most birds will be seen out to dry and preen.
One which is regularly sighted after rain is the Crested Goshawk.
Even one of the smallest birds, the Common Iora, spotted a wet head. In fact what's interesting is that I managed to capture an image of a male with breeding plumage, as suggested by the reddish patch on the throat and the black head.
