Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Nesting Bulbul, Part 2

It was certainly cause for celebration when I realised that the Yellow-vented Bulbuls have returned to nest, building a new nest just above its failed one.

A month later, the first sign that chicks have arrived, but I still wasn't sure how many there were although it's quite common to find two.

A not-too-pleased adult when it realised that I was photographing it.

And the watch began, there would always be one calling out to the other.

And the feeding frenzy started too.  Both parents worked non-stop to bring food throughout the day, one came and only left when the other returned.

I was still trying to determine the number of chicks in the nest.
