Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Domesticated RJF?

Just when I feared that the Red Jungle Fowls would fall prey again to poachers because of a recent sighting, I never dreamt that this male would walk right across the road, right in front of me, from the nearby longhouse compound.
Have this one and its mate being domesticated?

And here it led the way, striding and flexing.  What a beauty!

And just days before I had seen the females.
