Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Another fallen one

It's always sad to see a tree fall, especially the unnatural way and it looked like it was top heavy and was unable to withstand recent daily strong winds and rain that had hit the area.

The entire dense leafy top of the tree came down leaving only the thin trunk standing bare.

The lushness of this tree makes its premature fall all the more unfortunate.
