Another early arrival to the taman, the Brown-streaked Flycatcher which I had mistaken for the more common asian brown flycatcher last year. This one is considered an uncommon migrant and normally found solitary. As with last year, this one has arrived ahead of the other flycatchers.
First saw it up high and recognised it by its orange-buff wing-fringing at upperwing coverts immediately.

To my extreme delight after flying about up high, it decided to descend and perch right in front of me. Its distinct brownish streaks on the breast and flanks differentiate it from the asian brown flycatcher.
