Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Another wagtail

The migratory season has started and with an eye out for these birds, I scoured the taman and was unexpectedly rewarded with a new arrival, the Forest Wagtail.  This is one bird I hadn't encounter here, in fact it's a lifer for me (yea!) as I had heard that the wagtails had been seen in parks around here before.
Forest Wagtails could have flown in from Russia, S Korea, S Japan or SE China, and true to its name, wagging its tail sideways throughout means getting an image that's less than desirable.  In addition, with it foraging in the ground added to the frustration of getting an open shot.  And this one was certainly busy, walking non-stop seeking such as insects and worms among the fallen leaves and in shady areas.

And as with any bird, after feeding, it's time to clean up.

Human beings are not the only who do the spotting.

Another beautiful view.
