Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

A rare sight of Sunbird

It may be easy to sight Brown-throated Sunbirds, or now known as Plain-throated Sunbird, in the taman, but it's not easy to sight a male assuming breeding plumage. I almost dismissed this one as a female if not for a narration elsewhere about this bird in a similar stage but being mistaken for a female.
