Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

A distant raptor sighting

My first image of a migrant Oriental Honey-buzzard, one of two, flying high over the taman.  These raptor birds are now commonly seen during this autumn migration, elsewhere that is, and at the taman, oriental honey-buzzards are the most common raptors, and the only species so far, to have visited it over the years.
Looking forward to these raptors to descend to the taman, as a couple would normally do so, seemingly taking the taman to be transit stop.
