Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Perhaps nature's disposer

Not a pretty sight at all, neither a responsible act or was it, for someone had obviously dumped a dead Reticulated Python by the river side, and now feasted on by one lucky Monitor Lizard.

Knew this one was guarding something as I approached, then the sudden sight of the tell-tale tail practically glued me to the ground!

A slight bulge hinted that something had fallen prey earlier to the now fallen giant predator, its captive state suggested by the green rope round its head.

Hardly an easy task as the lizard tried to drag the big one away whilst pausing to feast on it at the same time, fear of it being seized away!?

But the only ones presently sharing with it was the swarm of flies.

Pausing continuously to 'scent' if any other could appear to want a share in the find.

And then it's off and down the river bank to continue its feast.
