Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

A new encounter

It's a snake, till I saw the legs, and since then has been advised that it's probably an Olive Tree Skink as this one was seen up the tree about 15 ft high.  The other skinks rarely venture above the ground.
Unfortunately due to the height and it being stationary for as long as I was watching it I failed to get a side profile that would firmly confirmed its identity, but nevertheless it's a new skink sighting, something I would look forward to spot again in future.
