Was it being cruel to be kind? Undoubtedly as the Dark-necked Tailorbird (Orthotomus atrogularis) parents went about busily foraging even as its juvenile, hot on its heels, was calling out incessantly. There was not a moment when the parents approached to feed, and it's evident.
The parents, male and female indistinguishable, only established as both were foraging separately close-by before they came together teasing the juvenile.
It's a wonder that this juvenile didn't go giddy trying to keep up with its super-active parents.
A moment respite, for me too, before the family left the scene, and all's quiet again.
