Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Gorgeous gorgeous Magpie Robin

Had another delightful encounter with this gorgeous Oriental Magpie Robin.  It may be one of the most common birds in the taman, but it's not easy to come across one with such pristine white and stunning deep blue colours.
And I wonder if this bird is used to being photographed now!?  After all, it did pose for awhile undeterred by my presence.
Anyway, this bird, unfortunately, is a favourite of poachers.
