Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Migrant Kingfisher

It felt very good to see that this Common Kingfisher is still around.  It also looked like it's getting used to human presence as I could approach it without it flying off, allowing me to click away for a good while.  Then it spotted me, still it didn't fly off.

A little fella, adorable and captivating.

Something caught its attention and put it on alert.

Something definitely displeased it although there was no attempt to go after it.

Back to its tranquil self and perch.

Always tries to get it from a different angle.

Fluffing for a preening.
