Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

A wet retreat

It was truly rare that I was caught by the heavy rain whilst in the park.  Nevertheless it provided a beautiful opportunity to capture the rain fall from one of the gazebos, watching the birds fleeing the rain, disappearing from sight as the rain got heavier.
It was the first time that I had seen the sky cast shadow and light across the park.  The sound and smell of rain, the strong wind, and wet trees were indeed welcomed after a hot afternoon.

As quickly as the rain came, it went, and the sky slowly brightened up.
