Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Whatever, the gorgeous Goshawk
I haven't seen the Crested Goshawk since the demise of its juvenile (see post of 15 Mar) until a week ago when it came fleeing down to snatch away a juvy Lineated Barbet (see post of 13 Apr). Then when I encountered it again in the taman, I couldn't help but admit how beautiful this bird is despite my still lingering dismay at its seizing of the other bird.
