Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Getting to know juvy or ..., Part II

Looks like if Mama doesn't show up, one will have to keep on calling.

And if there's still no response, better go out and have a look!  But, I guess I shouldn't be doing this!
So in it went as fast as it slipped out.  It was simply amusing to watch this juvy Lineated Barbet, slipping in and out in seconds as if it knew it was being disobedient.

And guess who came, perhaps one more?  (to be confirmed)

But of course, Mama (assuming it's a female) turned up too.

About an hour later, I saw this one hovering outside its nest and I'm guessing that it's a juvy because its calls were rather muted unlike the adults'.
