Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Pair yet not a pair of Shrikes

It looked like the Brown Shrikes are not ready to fly home yet, and I was fortunate to come across the male and female although I don't think it's a pair, as these birds always kept to their preferred area in the taman.  It is observed that the male is generally more skittish and will flee at the first sign of someone's approach.
