Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

A Bee-eater pic perfect

Another birder's dream encounter when a bird literally fly into sight, exactly to where one is standing.  An occasion which I couldn't have asked for more.
This Blue-tailed Bee-eater simply gave me this dream encounter, and the lighting was just perfect.  It then went on to 'show-off' its catch but guess it sensed my presence eventually and flew off with the insect still in mouth.

It was amazing how the bird played with the insect and inadvertently held it in just the perfect position for this shot.
