The Black-headed Bulbul (Brachypodius atriceps) is a resident bird of the bukit but unfortunately not so frequently sighted, wish that it is, would add more colours to the birds found here!
However its status is Least Concern in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species (2016).
It's one that is normally found in the forest or forest edge. I do love the striking rich lemonish-yellow plumage and distinct black head.
The other bulbul for which it could be mistaken is the black-crested bulbul, both with black head but the difference is the black crest of course, and this one has yellow under-part and greenish-olive upper-part, also considered a rare resident here.
