Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Pretty Bee-eaters

It looked like there's a pact between the Blue-tailed and Blue-throated Bee-eaters.  The former seem to monopolise the taman now whilst the latter are seen only in Bukit Kiara.
In the absence of new migrants reported in the taman, the easiest to spot are the Blue-tailed Bee-eaters, and these slender birds do make a pretty picture wherever they perch.

On this occasion it looked like I managed to get close to these birds only because their backs were to me!
