Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

To swallow, or can swallow?

It has happened to the White-throated Kingfisher again, biting off more than it can chew, or should it be 'fishing' off more than it can swallow!

This one was seen hitting the fish numerous time, before trying to swallow it but it proved to be quite a herculean task as it looked like it needed more than just a couple of hits to finish off the fish!

Then it turned the fish, sideward, length-wise, perhaps to swallow it but looked like not just yet.

Still, too big to swallow, or perhaps the fish was still alive.  On it went again, hitting the fish on the trunk.

The fish did look lifeless by now.

Another attempt to swallow the fish, but then it sensed my presence, took off without swallowing the fish.
