Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Another black beauty

The Asian Glossy Starling could be deemed gorgeous for its glossy feathers, I guess, if it's not so commonly found, thus the term 'trash' bird.  Furthermore, because it's always found in a flock and do chase away other birds on  a fruiting tree by its sheer number, it's hardly a welcome sight
