Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Too close for comfort

Much as I am grateful for and enjoy tremendously the presence of the two immatures in the taman, I couldn't help feeling uncomfortable that the two young ones, and their nest, are so close, too close in fact, to each other.  This dreadful feeling remains after having witnessed how the adult Crested Goshawk had seized a young Lineated Barbet (one of the siblings) in a play-out of the food chain.
Anyway, it's thoroughly captivating to watch the adult Barbet still feeding its young, in fact, this young should have long fledged.  I'm now wondering if the young is still been fed due to the presence of the Goshawk which discouraged its fledging.

As usual, waiting for the parent to return with food.

It does look like the young Goshawk is still been fed too, i.e. the adult still brings food to the nest.

All the young does is play around the nest, and waits for the parent to return.
