Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

For a Flowerpecker

Coming across the Scarlet-backed Flowerpecker, or any flowerpecker can be both delightful, and pretty frustrating because of the tiny bird's size and movement.
I came across the female one and it was not too difficult to capture its images although the best ones should have it display its back as well, to offset the male one.  Fortunately I still managed a glimpse of its tiny scarlet feathers this time.

Now, to have come across this male, although on a different occasion, was great, and to have it perch open too was a bonus, except it was way too high for sharp images!  Perhaps I was demanding too much!
