Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Raucous Crow

The Jungle Crow is not exactly a birder's joy to photograph.  It's simply a bird you couldn't ignore because of its crass call and presence.  It's pesky and even the bigger birds avoid it.

However when it landed in front of me though not too close by, I simply had to shoot, simply because it was there, especially when it's a pair.  I'm still trying to find something positive to say of it.
