Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

My lizard way

This Monitor Lizard was seen to cross the road as if it had every right to do so!
I was just feet away and it was hardly bothered as it took a leisurely stroll across the road, flicking its tongue throughout.  One of the uses of its tongue is to help it navigate the way.

This big one might come across as heavy and clumsy but actually was pretty agile even as it waddled on, moving assuredly along the pavement before it decided to climb over to the other side.
