Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Hoping to keep on counting Bulbuls

I finally believe the Olive-winged Bulbuls do live well in the Bukit when I chanced upon them on more than one occasion during my short walk.
It's great to know that there are at least five species of Bulbuls in the bukit, and all can be easily spotted (except for the black-crested), namely the yellow-vented, red-eyed, stripe-throated, black-crested, and this olive-winged.
This one was rather cute as it stretched to have a proper at me!

Then it went on to mind its own business, preening as if I was not there.
