Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

No fig for the Barbet

The Coppersmith Barbet is one of the more adorable residents in the taman, with its smaller size and gorgeous plumage.  But it's not so easy to get a great image because it's one of those birds that tends to keep to the higher perch, unless it comes down feed.

This fella soon lost interest in the figs as it moved on, as if waiting or looking for another.
