Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Swallow at play

When this Pacific Swallow started to hunt right in front of me, it was a showy display of flight and landing, and added to that, preening as it finished its meal each time.
Birds are really pretty hygienic creatures as they do clean themselves after their meals.

An  Oriental Magpie Robin must have been watching close by and got territorial as it tried to force the Swallow away and off its spot.

But this is one determined Swallow as it persisted to stay at its chosen spot for the morning, which afforded me some opportunities to practise some taking off and landing shots, mostly landing ones though, which were far from satisfactory I had to concede.
