Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

A soft peek

It is not often that one can steal a look into the soft body of a turtle.  The reflection in the water was another reason why this turtle calls for a second look.  I was also drawn to its weathered shell - could it be the pond water or its age that gave it the seasoned look?
Both views also reveal a withdrawn leg - when the rear leg is extended, the front one is withdrawn and vice versa.  And it stayed this way for a pretty long time.
