Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Seeing a familiar fella
It's always a pleasure to run into this little fella, the Coppersmith Barbet because of its bright colours which is sure to brighten up one's morning. Watching the Barbet eat may make one think it's ravenous and voracious because of the way it grasps for more than it should. Nevertheless, set against the fruiting tree, it certainly paints a pretty picture.
