Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Another Kite encounter

Just another beautiful morning when I encountered the Brahminy Kite.  To some it has become a regular sight, to others, still an excitement encountering it.
Let's hope that its appearance will never be taken for granted, as Arthur Conan Doyle had written, "The world is full of obvious things which nobody by any chance ever observes".
To watch a bird preen is the best encounter because one can observe it quietly for seconds or even minutes in one spot.
