Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Be back soon, Goshawk

This was the last time I saw the Crested Goshawk, i.e. before the recent festive season.  Since then it has not been seen near its newly built nest and here's hoping that it would return soon because I believe it could be frighten off by the firecrackers that were set off almost every night then.

It's obviously drying itself after the night's rain, and I almost missed it because it blended pretty well into the scanty foliage.
